This award winning project transformed a typical turn of the century Mt Lawley house into a residential masterpiece. Adding two bedrooms and bathrooms, a laundry, kitchen, meals and Alfresco, this home has been given a new lease of life. The attention to detail for the external finishes is a project highlight. The seamless join between the old and the new is an indication of the quality workmanship employed. The Alfresco area, limestone paving and pool renovation give the external entertaining area a resort feel.

Our beautiful house won the 2008 HIA-ANZ Housing Award more than a year ago and it is still a talking point amongst our friends and nieghbours. The first floor and rear extension to our Federation House is such a work of art and so innovative, that people still ask to view it. The alfresco and pool i design is so functional that we are able to entertain all year round. Steve Burke and his craftsmen fully explained the construction process. When changes were required Steve and his team were flexible and accommodating.

During the project our young family visited the site regularly and my children always felt safe, whether Steve was on site or not. His team were always a conscientious hard working bunch who also made me feel welcome. It’s a wonderful feeling to wake up in the morning to the house that you dreamt of, and I am proud to now look on Steve Burke and his team as friends.
