Richard and Kerryn needed to remodel their home to suit the growing needs of three boisterous boys, ranging in age from teenage to adult. They added a top storey addition which included three bedrooms, an additional living area, and a bathroom to give the boys their own space and upstairs retreat.

The existing kitchen was completely redesigned to facilitate frequent entertaining of large crowds. To achieve this, an existing bedroom was converted to a large pantry alongside the kitchen. Other special features included double ovens and of course lots of storage space!

The alfresco area and Activity room on the ground floor has modernised and opened up the downstairs living and outdoor areas, while still maintaining private space in the activity room which has been insulated to mute the sound from the Music sessions that take place.

"The team at Amerex really listened to our unique set of requirements. With a large family with a very active social life, we needed retreat areas, the ability to cater for high foot traffic, and a kitchen that could cater for crowds.

Amerex have designed and built a quality addition and renovation that has not only met our requirements, but has exceeded them. Unique features and requests have been catered for such as building in an old clay wine rack, and a wrought iron keepsake into the cabinet work. Our Music/Activity room has been a hit with all family members using at various times for Music jamming sessions, yoga sessions and as a meditation room.

The project was expertly managed, and we were impressed with the friendly and efficient team that kept a clean site at all times.

Since the job has been completed we have been entertaining frequently, and have even hosted a party for 80 people. The design has proved it can cater for our entertaining needs, and the design has proven it can allow for crowds, while at the same time providing private retreats. We would not hesitate to recommend Amerex as a quality design team, and as builder that listens.".
