A second storey addition can be built in as little as 4 months. This includes completely fitting it out with all electrical work, plumbing, new staircase, bathroom cabinets, fixtures installed, walk-in robes, flooring, painting thoughout and more. If you are also extending the ground floor e.g. with an open plan living extension and a new afresco, then the scope of works is greater and the timeframe will be longer as a result.

Because we custom-build, all joins between the top and the bottom are perfectly aligned. Recently in Perth, some builders have start to promote the ‘drop-in box on top’ concept. While this idea is interesting, it is very difficult to add a modular second storey onto an existing home and expect it to line up exactly square. This means that the top and the bottom will potentially need patching and fixing to marry the top and the bottom. This has the potential to ruin the look and finish of your home and even devalue your home if done poorly.
