Sustainable Renovations
Whether you’re planning a second storey addition, a major renovation, or a home extension, we focus on quality and sustainable construction to help reduce your running costs, improve liveability and add long-term value to your property.
By combining sustainable building materials, smart design and premium construction methods, we create homes that are more comfortable, efficient and ready for the future.
Premium Materials Included in Every Build
Sustainability in a home renovation is achieved by building smart, long-term performance solutions into your home. Amerex demonstrates our commitment to a sustainable future and forward-thinking by including these premium construction features as standard inclusions.
Internal AND External Wall Insulation
All timber-framed walls, both internal and external, are fitted with R2.5 high-density insulation as standard. This keeps your home cooler in summer, warmer in winter and noticeably quieter.
Professional Insulation Installation
Specialist insulation installers carefully cut and fit each section so there are no gaps. This ensures your insulation performs at its best, delivering maximum comfort and energy efficiency.
Anticon Blanket Under Roof Sheeting
We include a 50mm thick Anticon blanket under your roof sheeting. This helps prevent condensation and mould while creating a more comfortable and quieter home.
Lightweight Concrete Flooring System
Our second storey floors use a 75mm lightweight concrete system, providing strength, excellent noise reduction and superior thermal performance.
Superior Cladding System
For rendered second storey additions, we use a 75mm EPS cladding system for improved insulation, durability and long-term performance.
Thermal Breaks for Energy Efficiency
Cavity battens behind the external cladding create a thermal break that helps stop heat passing through the walls and improves year-round efficiency.
Certified Waterproofing Specialists
Wet areas including bathrooms, kitchens, laundries and balconies are waterproofed by licensed specialists to help ensure compliance and peace of mind.
LED Lighting & RCD Safety Upgrades
Energy-efficient LED lighting and modern electrical safety upgrades help improve safety while reducing energy consumption.
Low-Flow Water Fixtures
Low-flow showerheads, faucets and toilets save water without sacrificing performance. Energy-efficient appliances can also help reduce household running costs.
Better comfort.
Better efficiency.
Better living.
Sustainable design isn’t simply about adding technology. It’s about creating a home that performs better every day.
From insulation and thermal breaks to energy-efficient appliances and smarter building systems, every decision contributes to a more comfortable and efficient home.
Our approach combines premium construction methods with practical sustainable solutions designed to provide long-term value.
