FROM DATED AND DARK TO LIGHT AND SPACIOUS
"THE RENOVATION THAT AMEREX HAS COMPLETED IS A SEAMLESS TRANSITION OF THE OLD AND THE NEW, WITH A HIGH STANDARD OF FINISH. WE NEVER IMAGINED WE WOULD LIVE IN SUCH A BEAUTIFUL HOME AND OUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS ARE AMAZED AT THE TRANSFORMATION AND CANNOT BELIEVE IT IS THE SAME HOUSE." - IAN & RENEE
HOME EXTENSION WITH OPEN PLAN LIVING AND WORKSHOP
Originally this was a very dated character home with cramped living spaces and dark rooms. The end result is a far cry from this with natural light and spacious living areas.
SCOPE OF WORKS
The Amerex team enjoyed building this character home addition and renovation which resulted in a fantastic home transformation. This included the addition of an Open Plan Living area encompassing new Dining, Living, Kitchen and Scullery. The Scullery is quite unique in this home and includes a sink and pantry, and a preparation area away from the main kitchen. Perfect for mess-free entertaining.
This comprehensive home improvement project also added on a Master Bedroom, Ensuite, Bathroom, Powder Room, WC, and Laundry. In addition, the existing small garage was renovated and converted into a workshop – aka a man-cave!. A new beautiful Alfresco area with jarrah decking was added at the rear, and is now an inviting area to enjoy for the owners.
CHARACTER HOME FEATURES PAY RESPECT TO THE HERITAGE OF THE HOME
Polished and gleaming jarrah floorboards feature throughout the home, including extra-wide jarrah treads on the internal stairs, and jarrah decking in the Alfresco area. Heritage features were retained throughout, including high ceilings and skirtings, fancy cornice, and ceiling roses. While the home respects its heritage and the character of a bygone era, the bathrooms and kitchen have the best of all the modern conveniences including Caesar stone benchtops, soft closing draws, quality fittings and fixtures, and bright and light-filled spaces.
COMPLETE NEW ROOF TO EXISTING AND NEW EXTENSION
Rather uniquely for a renovation project, the entire character home was re-roofed – that is, the new addition, and the existing parts of the old home – with new clay tiles to replace the old and battered existing tiles. The results speak for themselves.
